There is ALWAYS 4 in the Fire!

Daniel 3 recounts the story of three men thrown into the fiery furnace for not bowing down to the idol when commanded to do so.  When the king looked into the furnace, he saw four men… the three tossed in and another who looked like “a son of the gods”!

Jesus was in the fire with the three men!  The king immediately had the three men removed from the furnace, and they escaped without harm; matter of fact only the ropes that enslaved them were burnt up; the men didn’t even smell of smoke!

There is ALWAYS 4 in the Fire!

Isaiah 43:2,3 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

God promises that when we “walk through fire” He will be with us.

Believer! When you go through life’s fiery trials, there is ALWAYS 4 in the fire:

YOU, THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT!!

You are never alone!

Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me!!

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

Genesis 9:6b

God made man in his own image.

Colossians 3:10

…and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

Ephesians 5:1

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.

We are NOT image BUILDERS.

We are image BEARERS!

How’s your reflection?

The Apple of His Eye

Psalm 17:8  Keep me as the apple of Your eye…

Zechariah 2:8b  …for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

Have you ever had your eye poked?

Either by accident, or on purpose?

Is it a pleasant experience?

Is it something you want to do again?

Is it something you’d like to avoid?

Hear this truth:

You are the apple of God’s eye.  The very center of His vision.

ANYTHING that touches you, has touched Him.

Nothing touches us without it touching GOD’S EYE!

He sees.

He knows.

He feels.

He acts.

He defends.

He heals.

He CARES!!

YOU ARE THE APPLE OF HIS EYE!!

Romans 8:38, 39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Read that again!

One more time!

Did you focus on the whats?

OR

Did you focus on the Who?

I think many times we focus on the WHAT, all the things that can separate us from God.

I think we take for granted the WHO.

It’s not US who does this work… if it were up to us, all those things could easily separate us from God!!

It’s ONLY God Who does this work!

It’s GOD’S COMMITMENT to us!

His commitment to love us,

to hold on to us,

to save us,

to redeem us!

God has committed to love us through all of these circumstances!!

Believer in Christ:

NOTHING can STOP GOD from LOVING YOU!!

YOU ARE HIS!!

Psalm 112:1, 7

Praise the LORD!

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,

who greatly delights in His commandments!

He is not afraid of bad news;

His heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.

Lately, it seems like each day certainly has enough trouble of its own  (Matthew 6:34). We go from one bad report to the next.  It would be REALLY easy to be fearful, anxious, depressed, even terrified!

BUT!

God hasn’t created us with a spirit of fear!  (2 Timothy 1:7)  Matter of fact, because He is with us, we can rise above the craziness!

When we keep our focus on Him, He will give peace!

(Isaiah 26:3)

Rest well fellow believers, our God is in control!

(Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 46:1)

Just keep looking to Him!

Psalm 62:8  Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.  Selah
