The entire Explorer Girls’ program is based on the following Biblical teachings:
Invest in Lives
God has designed that the best instruction is done by investing time in others’ lives and modeling the truth of ‘God’s word. Therefore, as leaders in the ministry God has given to us, we must be willing to spend time with our girls, listen to them, and become a positive influence in their lives.
Deuteronomy 6:6-8, ” And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.”
Teach Truth
God is to be first and foremost in our lives. Throughout the Scripture we are taught that God demands our full allegiance and dependence. God’s truth taught to the girls will challenge them to follow Him first.
Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Develop Abilities
All individuals are uniquely created by God in His image.
Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.”
As unique creations we have received specific gifts and abilities to be developed for His glory and surrendered for His service.
1 Peter 4:10, 11, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God, if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth, that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
