Have you noticed, the past couple of years have been tough for all of us?

That’s a silly question, because I know you have.

It seems like ever since 2020 and the bug, I’ve noticed my world getting smaller and harder. Deaths in my family and friends, deaths in their families and their friends, people having major surgical procedures, prices are skyrocketing, lots of political stuff, battles, wars… life.

Trying to do life on our own is getting us nowhere.

I’m thankful that I have a God who is enough to keep me going, enough to lean on in the tough times, enough to love me beyond measure no matter what the circumstances.

I am here

I am loved

God is good

And that’s enough

I don’t know your situation

What kind of story you’re in

If you’re high on that mountain

Or down in the valley again

You might be holding your baby

You might be holding a drink

You might be holding a secret that’s getting harder to keep

It’s okay if I don’t have the answers

It’s okay to be right where you are

It was patience and kindness and love

That got us this far

He is here

He is love

God is good

As a crafter I like to create things out of lots of different materials.

I have the privilege of working with my friend Loretta on a card-making activity for our Women’s Retreat in a couple of weeks.

We’ll be working on all sorts of greeting cards to send out to friends and family, with the intention of sending:

Love

Joy

Peace in times of sorrow

Kindness

Faithfulness, as we often stamp Scripture sentiments on the cards that share God’s love

Gentleness as we develop relationships with others.

We send cards to express human emotions, joy, thanks, sympathy, humor, love and admiration. They allow us to connect on an emotional level with the people who have touched our lives.

Did you know that we are God’s greeting cards?

He created us out of love for the purpose of sharing His love, His joy, His peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

We were created to love Him and others.

He also created us to reflect His image in the way we care for the world and for each other.

Go out today and be God’s greeting card.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; Galatians 5:22-23

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Have you seen a miracle today?

Did you see a bird fly?

Did you see the little bug on your window sill move?

Did you play fetch with your dog? Did he chase a bunny?

Did you hear the cat make a noise when they jump because they want your attention?

Did you get out of bed?

Did you watch your children walk or run to the bus stop?

Did you remember what you walked into the room for?  LOL

Did you cook breakfast/lunch/dinner?

The human body is a miracle,

There are no batteries, wires or gears!

But we move, think, emote.

I love to watch people walk by, and wonder how in the world does that work!

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalm 139 talks about the intimate knowledge that God has of us. Read it today and rejoice in the God that loves us!

History is the study of past events, particularly as it affects humanity.

History can be 10 minutes ago, yesterday or 6,000 or so ago.

We have made history

Retold history

Written down history

Read history

Tried to rewrite history

Denied history

Learned from history

Not learned from history

Ignored history

But whether we like it or not, history is our past. It can’t be changed, it’s truth, like it or not.

There is a song that I enjoy called Same God. It speaks of the history of God, His faithfulness, love, grace and mercy.

The other day I was researching words beginning with re for an article that I was writing. There are 1000’s!

I noticed as I pulled out words that I needed at that moment, that many of the re words reflect the idea of do over.

Each one states an action that is being done again.

It reminded me of the mercies of the Lord.  He gives us a fresh chance each day (truth is, each minute)

To do better helping others.

To do better with our finances.

To do better learning about Him.

To do better living for Him.

To do better.
