As October draws near and we get into the full swing of school and work, are you setting aside time to rest in God? God wants
to bless us with peace and renewal, but it can be easy to lose sight of rest and time with Him when the world seems to constantly demand that we hustle and be busy. And yet, if God could rest after creating the entire universe, you too have the time to devote to spiritual rest if you trust that God will provide you enough time to also get work done! After all, according to Psalm 127:1, “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” This season, we challenge you to reflect on what might be preventing you from spending restful time with Him. How might you adjust your priorities to make sure God is not second to your workload? When God comes first, our burden becomes light.
Looking forward to Summer Camp 2026
Summer camp in 2025 had a very “cool” theme—“Winter Wonderland!”
Decorations in the dining hall included a Christmas tree and also a Snowman. Each window was decked out with snow scenes. The Bible lessons emphasized “JOY” which included seeing “JOY” in all of the people involved in the Christmas story.
One night the girls did winter activities. They built snowmen out of marshmallows. They scooped ice pucks with snow shovels. They built snow towers out of sugar cubes. They had a snowball fight. And they took group pictures in a “snow storm” wearing or holding various snow items. It was a great week of fun and learning about Jesus Christ. The dates for next year are July 11-18, 2026. Any girls from grade 3 through 11 are welcome to attend. Call the EG office for more information.
Save the dates for this summer! July 12-18, 2026.

Women’s Get-Away Weekend
Do you know that it is illegal to educate a dog in Hartford, Connecticut? Or that you could be arrested for singing in the bathtub in parts of Pennsylvania? And please do not take a lion to the movies in Baltimore, Maryland!
These laws were legalized “Back in the Day” and are still on the books in these states.
We are going to have fun at this Women’s Get-Away Weekend looking at some of the laws that are still on the books and discovering Biblical principles that we can apply to our lives, February 20-22, 2026.
“I’ve been attending the Women’s Weekend for over 20 years. I look forward to this
weekend every year and have made lifelong friends with like-minded sisters in Christ.”
“The messages from God’s Word are always pertinent to my current life and circumstances. I experience so much growth and healing as I sit under this teaching.”
“There is so much to do on the weekend. I can join in to the various activities, or I can take a book and sit by the fire and read. I love the flexibility of the schedule.”
Please consider joining us for this wonderful experience, going “Back in the Day!”
Looking forward to seeing you there!
