Let EVERYTHING that has breath PRAISE THE LORD! – Psalm 150
Does it feel like everything around you is screaming Christmas!?! Everywhere you look: store fronts, malls, street light poles, front lawns, whole houses, television, people’s clothing choices, the grocery aisles, your mail, the banners on your computer screen, the radio, ringtones on cell phones. The song, “It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year!” plays at every opportunity. CHRISTMAS IS EVERYWHERE!
How cool would it be if all these things/people/places were not just proclaiming the Christmas holiday, but the Savior Whom the “holiday” represents!?
Psalm 150 says the word ‘praise’ 13 times in 6 short verses and ends with “Let EVERYTHING that has breath praise the LORD!” That doesn’t leave room for many to NOT praise! Think about everything that has breath: EVERY person (no matter what they think of God), and every animal!
If you are breathing, PRAISE GOD! A simple, “THANK YOU GOD!” will do, but think about all you have, all you are, all that is around you! So many blessings! So many praises!
As you go about ‘life’ the next few days, take a moment to feel yourself breathe. As you breathe, PRAISE THE LORD!
