Handwritten Heart

Did you know that your heart is “writable”?

So, what’s written on your heart?

Even more important, how does your heart get written upon?

AND, who do you let write upon your heart?

I think as Christians, we’ve been brought up to believe that in order to be humble, patient, kind and gentle, we have to let everyone, anyone say whatever they want to us and we have to listen to them because it’s the “right” thing to do…we wouldn’t want someone to think we are rude. The problem is this: When we listen to the same message, whether positive or negative, enough times it begins to carve itself onto our heart. So we believe what is said to us. If we let the world write on our heart, the messages are not trustworthy… they may be good, they may even have truth built into them, and they may be right sometimes. But they are not 100% trustworthy. The only writer Who is completely trustworthy, always right, always good, always pure, always loving is God.

God wants to write upon your heart.

Is there enough room on your “ticker” for Him to write His love song to you?

If you have a moment take a look at what God wants to write on your heart…

I have loved you with an everlasting love… Jeremiah 31:3

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior… Isaiah 43:1-3

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. John 10:28

The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Don’t let the world write their version of love and truth on your heart.

Allow God to write on your heart, He loves you more than anyone on earth ever could!
