On any given day, what takes up most of your time?
Is it TV, or video games, or sporting events, or work, or church, or family? Put your own answer in there.
We all have certain things that we feel are very important and we spend our energy trying to accomplish them.
As I read the Bible, I believe that it teaches us there are things in the heart and mind of God that are most important to Him. We know that, because according to God these things will last FOREVER.
First is God Himself.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (Psalm 90:2).
Second is His Word—The Bible.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8).
Third is People.
John 3:16 is very clear on this matter. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
If a person believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, who came to earth and died on the cross for the sin of mankind, then that person will have everlasting life—he or she will live forever. But, any person who does not believe on Jesus and His work on the cross or does not receive Jesus, then that person will live forever, too—but will perish—be in a place of torment and hell forever.
This is the truth that we believe and stand on from God’s Word. Our prayer is for each person reading this to understand the Truth and to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior from sin so that they will spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven.
Life is all about God—FOREVER!
